Description
POSITION OBJECTIVE: With a minimum of supervision, works from schematics and checklists to test electrical units and controls to diagnose malfunctions, using hand tools and electronic knowledge


Responsibilities
1. Follows detailed written process, checklists as to the exact procedures to be followed for repairs. 2. Uses oscilloscopes, multimeters, personal computers, and specialized test equipment for troubleshooting and isolating electronic failures in equipment. 3. Performs electronic circuit board repairs to the component level. 4. Ensure quality of repaired product meets customer requirements for that part number. 5. Prepares written parts requisitions or locates parts as needed for repairs. 6. Maintains security of all electronic tools used and materials being repaired. 7. Maintain a clean and safe work area. 8. Data Exchange reserves the right to change or revise job duties as the need arises

Minimum qualifications
Education: High School graduation and 2 years of technical school or in Electronics. Experience: 1-3 years in electronic troubleshooting, testing and repairs at the component level. Preferred, but not required: Specific work experience with printers, power supplies, monitors, disk drives, modems or personal computers. Knowledge of P.C. software.
Preferred qualifications
Skills: Ability to follow directions, pay attention to details, good manual dexterity and electronic skills, good English skills, ability to work with hand tools and electronic test equipment, ability to operate a personal computer.
