Description
We are the UK and Ireland’s largest independent distributor of IT data storage products and solutions and are a growing and successful business with over 200 employees across 4 locations. We are looking for a Dublin based Software BDM to drive the business forward seeking new sources of revenue and boosting existing. Please note whilst this role is home based, for the majority of time we want the proactive individual to be face to face meeting new and existing customers.


Responsibilities
The Business Development Manager is responsible for growing the company’s customer base and achieving our targets for new customer acquisition and business growth in our existing customer base Develop and exploit business opportunities within the defined geographical area (predominately Dublin but will include some national travel) This will be done through focused account management and new business generation selling the total portfolio of solutions and products. The successful candidate must be able to build excellent internal and external customer relationships, manage their time, challenge existing customer practices and be a strong ambassador for CMS Distribution.

Minimum qualifications
Experience of consultative selling (solution selling) on high value opportunities Track record or meeting and exceeding sales targets Proficient user of the Microsoft Office suite, particularly Word and Excel. 4+ years IT sales experience, preferable in software sales Cold calling experience Outstanding organisational skills and ability to manage own time effectively. Network of contact in the sector that our business can target for customer acquisition Excellent communication skills – ability to communicate eloquently in both written and verbal formats, both face-to-face and remotely. Sound business acumen, with experience to construct commercial proposals, negotiate and close deals Excellent presentation and demonstration skills Conscientious and committed combined with flexibility in attitude and approach. Degree level qualification, preferable in I.T. or Business
Preferred qualifications
Experience of selling solutions in data management and/or data security software Experience in selling IT architecture infrastructural products i.e. Cloud storage, physical storage devices (flash etc), Network Attached Storage, Solid State Drives, etc. Experience of selling to the Value Adding Reselling/ IT System Integrator community on the island of Ireland Good understanding of software development process, service management and delivery processes
