As the Site Operation’s Manager you will be effectively managing drivers and their vehicles; ensuring that legal requirements are adhered to, vehicles roadworthy and drivers working to EU Driver Regulations. You will be responsible for effective site management; ensuring compliance with relevant H&S regulations and SSW’s.

• Maintaining and developing a safe and efficient operational environment on a busy customer site • Managing the resource requirements of the site (recruitment, training, legislative compliance) in accordance with company processes and safety standards • Managing and developing of all site based operational staff to coordinate the smooth day to day function • Building and maintaining positive relationships with on-site customer employees, suppliers and other third party groups • Maintaining site assets (vehicles, plant, equipment, premises) in accordance with legislative and company standards • Adhere to company procedures and processes and ensure site is fully compliant • Analysing and producing operational/ site related reports • Analysing operational procedures and developing a culture of continuous improvement towards best practice within company and customer requirements • Collating weekly payroll • Conducting investigations, disciplinary and grievances as and when they arise

Minimum qualifications
We’re looking for someone who’s is confident and an effective communicator across all levels of the business, with a proven track record of achieving goals. This role requires a keen eye for details as well as strong analytical and decision making skills. You will also have some experience in a managerial role in the logistics industry. As the successful candidate you will have a good working knowledge of how to use Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. In addition to this you will have experience of transport related software systems, a good working knowledge of OWTA and EU Driving Hour Regulations is also essential. You will also be required to have experience of managing a mobile workforce and ideally a CPC National Qualification and nationally recognized Health & Safety qualifications.
